Usable by everyone.

The short version

  • We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
  • Every page has been checked for color contrast and keyboard use.
  • If something gets in your way, email us and we'll fix it.

01What we aim for

WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the widely used standard for accessible websites. It's what we build this site to, and it's the target we use for the sites we build for clients.

02What we've done

  • Text meets the AA contrast ratio against its background, checked page by page.
  • Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible outline showing where you are.
  • Images and icons have text alternatives, or are marked as decoration so screen readers skip them.
  • Every form field has a label, and problems are only flagged after you try to send, not while you type.
  • The site follows your device's reduced-motion setting.
  • Pages reflow on small screens and when zoomed to 200%. Nothing flashes.

03What we haven't done yet

The site hasn't yet been tested by people who rely on assistive technology every day. Automated checks and careful building catch a lot, but not everything. If you hit a barrier, you're helping us by telling us.

04Tell us about a problem

Email hello@helpful-co.com with the page and what got in your way. We'll reply within five business days, and if we can't fix it right away, we'll get you the information another way in the meantime.
